Elise S Very disturbing and great plot twist Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review Thirdi A such a fun thriller. checked all my boxes, psychotic mental health melt downs, drug use, sex, and killing! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Thom G An excellently twisted and creepily inventive family drama that cuts deep, elevated by Morgan Saylor's magnetic and dedicated performance. However, like other critics, I found myself a bit disappointed with how it all comes together (although there may be more coherence than I initially noticed). Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/26/24 Full Review Shy D This movie tried desperately to be original and originality is what's needed in this day and age of entertainment but this movies try was simply too hard . I had to fast forward four times to skip excessive cringe . I didn't hate the movie but I definitely didn't like it even slightly. A great leading lady performance from Morgan Saylor wasn't good enough to make this movie bearable. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Did I miss something? Noel Murray Los Angeles Times There’s not quite enough plot in “Spoonful of Sugar” to fill its running time, though the performances are so lively and director Morgan’s imagery so vivid that the picture is never dull. Mar 3, 2023 Full Review John Townsend Starburst Although Morgan does a decent job creating an atmosphere of stifling malcontent, you never feel fully immersed in the story. In the end, it’s mostly just unpleasant characters doing unpleasant things to each other. Apr 13, 2023 Full Review Keri O'Shea Warped Perspective Things steadily ramp up, and Spoonful of Sugar is more than able to shock; it’s a film peppered with fetid rabbits, after all. That’s got to be some kind of sign. Mar 11, 2023 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills It’s an interesting, accomplished attempt at something… I just couldn’t tell you what. Mar 3, 2023 Full Review Jon Mendelsohn CBR Spoonful of Sugar succeeds at being an unnerving thriller, while also providing laughs and hypnotic psychedelic sequences. Mar 3, 2023 Full Review Jared Mobarak Hey, Have You Seen ...? There are definitely some intriguing moments and worthwhile commentary about double-standards and how abused people abuse others, but so much of it arrives as shock value without depth.
