Failed ovary transplants kill several but a successful testacle transplant is made for a Nazi colonel who had his bit off. Another fine Italian production. Rated 0.5/5 Stars •  Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I do like Exploitation films myself but not Nazi one, I have a big issue when it comes to mocking the holocaust and doing all that but I have seen 3 ones that I did sort of like. My favorite out of all the Nazi Exploitation films is Ilsa, She wolf of the SS (DUH). This here is just tasteless and sort of entertaining but overall it doesn't offend or sort of does. But overall nearly all Nazi exploitation films all have Ilsa type villains (Most are hot). This is a sleazy WW2 Nazi camp movie which plays more like a black comedy. In this film the poor female POW's get raped and groped by all and sundry at the camp. In an amusing comic twist the commandant decides he wants a new pair of testicles and so removes them from one of the hunky guards. The guard doesn't seem to realise he's been castrated until he goes to bonk one of the French prisoners. This provides one of the most amusing scenes when he confronts the commandant and says "You Bastard. what have you done with my Balls?". The story itself is really stupid but just tasteless not offensive. The acting is usually bad but really funny to watch them try that's a plus. The special effects are usually okay nothing original we have seen it all before and with a title like SS Experiment Camp you can expect to see all this gore. The dialogue is camp and the direction is terrible. Here are some facts I found. The graphic advertising for this movie sparked off the "video-nasty" debate in early 1982 in the United Kingdom. The BBFC later passed the film completely uncut in 2005 with the following comment, "The content of the film is in fact very mild and poorly executed. If anything, it was the title of the film and its original packaging that led to difficulties, rather than the content. The idea of the film may, of course, be offensive to some but that is not a good enough reason to cut or reject it. We would only cut or reject a film for adults if the content was illegal or harmful. "SS Experiment Camp" is neither illegal or harmful, just tasteless." It was eventually released in October 2006 with different artwork. Early 2006 UK DVD releases of the film on the Blackhorse label mistakenly featured the 1981 film "Love Camp" (aka Die Todesgöttin des Liebescamps (1981)) and even included photographs of star Laura Gemser on the reverse sleeve. This was corrected by the second release of the DVD and can be identified by the replacement of the photos with text on the reverse. The second UK release by 'Blackhorse Entertainment' is completely uncut. A second release was required as due to a production mistake, the film 'Love Camp' starring Laura Gemser was on the DVD instead. This first version can be identified by the stills of Laura Gemser on the back cover. Overall its very poor but enjoyable.
