Sean L. McCarthy Decider Whether you need this celebration in your Pride Month, or whether you need to step out of your comfort zone, this special should open your eyes and release some laughs, if not also open your heart. Jun 13, 2022 Full Review Jordan Lyon Ready Steady Cut The high number of acts is what makes the Netflix special so great. The jokes are non-stop, there’s a musical number, the acts are fab, and it all flows so well. Rated: 4/5 Jun 10, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Henry M As a member of the LGTB community, I kept waiting for the jokes that were kind of one dimensional, flat and not really funny. This was an exercise is going out with someone hoping it's a sure thing , and you would rather stop drop and roll out of a moving a car.. I found it rather boring which is a shame. Even Margaret Cho fell flat. When is Billy Eichner going to be stopping forcing his lame humor down everyone's throats. Christ all mighty can this queen just take some classes and learn the phrase, "how may I take your order." It seems critics can't stand the smallest of pleasures for a long marginalised community. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member A who's who of wonderful LGBTQ+ comedians! So funny it will fill your heart with joy! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member As a comedy special, Stand Out fails to stand out given much of it's comedy is hyper-focused on LGBT-specific topics that have limited appeal or relevance to the wider public. It thus fails to show the universality of the human experience, and the bridge between the gaps of differences as people. Furthermore, it concerns itself with political and social issues in a manner that feels more hectoring than humorous. This is possibly because good humor has an underlying truth, which a considerable portion of the special lacks. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
