Released in 2000, Eminem's song "Stan" -- about an obsessive, unstable fan -- remains iconic. So iconic that the term stan was officially added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2017. In the song, the titular character handwrites a series of emotional letters to Eminem, repeating the line: I'm just like you. I didn’t finish it. My girlfriend and I left around 45 minutes into it. I can enjoy a good documentary but this wasn’t one. We’re both huge Eminem fans, but we couldn’t sit through the whole thing. I didn’t care about the super obsessive Em fanatics or their opinions on him.
