His characters, as is now his norm, are plastic puppets, even in the confectionary love scenes. Most of their dialogue is so doughy that it could be spooned into comic-strip balloons. Lucas simply has no interest in these people.

I saw these movies when I was in High School and I really liked them. Now as I am older, I love them! Watching the disney Star Wars movies really give you a good comparison to the magic that these movies and the originals had that disney will never duplicate.

I gave this movie and The Phantom Menace the same rating even though this movie is better. It doesn't have a fight scene like TPM, but it flows way better and does have engaging aspects about it. One thing I didn't mention in my review about TPM is the dialogue. My god who ever chose the wording... *cough cough* George Lucas *cough cough*...... they should be ALMOST be charged for a crime. It is unsettling how cringe some of these scenes make you feel. Especially when they do something abnormal and follow it up with weirdest line. The characters and plot do help this movie a lot though. We get the first fight between Anakin and Obi Wan vs Count Dooku, as well as Count Dooku vs Yoda. Very exciting to see, though I wish the environment during that fight was a bit more bright but I understood the tone they wanted to set. Anyways, this movie has some rough parts to it but like MOST Star Wars films, you will find something to enjoy out of it.
