To win the heart of his beloved (Sienna Miller), a young man named Tristan (Charlie Cox) ventures into the realm of fairies to retrieve a fallen star. What Tristan finds, however, is not a chunk of space rock, but a woman (Claire Danes) named Yvaine. Yvaine is in great danger, for the king's sons need her powers to secure the throne, and an evil witch (Michelle Pfeiffer) wants to use her to achieve eternal youth and beauty.

Crossing it is prohibited as it leads to a magical realm where nothing is to be believed and no-one is to be trusted. Such a charming fantasy love story with an incredible cast and this banger of a theme song.

This is a nice easy fairytale story to watch. Well made with some funny cameos from famous faces. The actual plot is just standard fairytale stuff but it has enough charm to work. Watched on Amazon Prime.

My favorite fairy tale. In this imperfect world, we lack such bright, magical stories. Stardust is often underrated because the plot seems predictable: a boy sets off on an adventure, grows stronger, and finds love where he least expects it. But it’s precisely this simplicity that makes the film so enchanting. It has everything you love about fairy tales: witches, heirs to the throne, sky pirates, and a fallen star that turns out to be a girl. The atmosphere is warm, slightly ironic, and the characters are lively and vivid. The ending is truly bright and “just right” — the kind that leaves you with the feeling that good has triumphed beautifully. Stardust leaves a warmth behind and reminds us that sometimes we need fairy tales more than realistic dramas.
