See more Matt-007 R @Matt-007 Dec 23 The film really captured the Binghamton area as it is; a rundown version of what ice was a thriving yester-year industrial city. The black and white filming added a nice touch to that rundown look. The movie kept my attention, and it had a feel-good vibe to it with the hopefulness. I thought the acting was good. The only issue I had was too much time was spent developing the character of the the cabbie’s Mom. It dragged out the movie too much. But overall, a fun Christmas movie. The cinematography was excellent and the black and white filming matched the mood, both offbeat and simple, as well as somewhat surreal. The odd ensemble create a delightful band of brothers that burst out of their ordinary lives, for a chaos laden Christmas eve. A loosely woven plot, combining the past, present and future with an unlikely, but oddly recognizable cast of characters and interspersed story lines. A must see, and a wonderful break from ordinary.
