Tom Keogh Seattle Times The basics of Draper's story hold promise, but the film derails because Jack and Oliver just aren't charming as social pariahs. Rated: 1.5/4 Oct 26, 2018 Full Review Nell Minow RogerEbert.com Draper uses her understanding of her sons as people and actors to shape their characters and performances. In return, the trust they have in her allows them to be completely open. Rated: 3/4 Oct 19, 2018 Full Review Katie Walsh Los Angeles Times It's a loose and chatty affair, leaning on on a lifetime of familial riffing. Oct 15, 2018 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue The built-in relationships add a layer of charm and spontaneity to otherwise breezy and innocuous material. Nov 30, 2018 Full Review Alex Arabian Film Inquiry Stella's Last Weekend is an under-the-radar gem of an independent film. Nov 22, 2018 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews An almost bearable indie slice of life dramedy. Rated: C+ Oct 30, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Lena D Why? Why crucify the thoughtful older brother to coddle the obnoxious younger? Is Sally reflecting reality, or just another weak parenting plot? I know this isn't a romantic comedy, but it held interest, if not for the poor decisions and unfair plot. I don't enjoy brats winning, nor self-imposed martyrdom. Again, I know this isn't a romantic comedy, but wrapping a bow around two key issues for Jack would have been much more satisfying than the trend of loose endings. It's not real life, but exactly, it's not real life. This way, it's just demoralising, and I'm sick of wasting time on things that aren't uplifting. I hoped it had potential. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I looooved this movie because the relationship between the brothers is so true and beautiful! It's a light film, you laugh, you cry and in the end you are shure that the family is the most important thing in our life. Sensitive and true actions. Nat and Alex, perfect! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A must see. Brilliant acting all round. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A warming indie film that shows a brother dynamic perfectly. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Mostly enjoyable. Good acting and dialog, funny and totally fun, although ending was weak. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member The Draper / Wolff family dynamic unfurls like a beautiful flower revealing humor, and loyalty to each other even in the midst of their grief, and a sibling transgression. While not a realistic Divinci portrait of the family, the movie instead seems like a glittering Monet. I look forward to seeing what other masterpieces The House of Draper and Wolff will create next, as I am sure no matter what, it will be heartfelt.
