Tom Skeritt (Alien) is good and there’s some Ka references for Dark Tower fans. Other than that I don’t remember being too fond of this movie.

2.5/5. Desperation starts off incredibly strong with an awesome and terrifying performance from Ron Pearlman. Once he leaves the film, all that's left is a ton of religious dialogue being shoved down our throats.

Stephen King has quite a creative mind, but this script had *everything* scary thrown in. Spiders, snakes, demons, you name it. Just not the quality I have come to expect from King (& he wrote the screenplay!).

it starts as an interesting horror flick. Then it turns into a revival meeting. "We must do what God tells us to do". Then it has a brief turn as a history lesson on the Chinese and the mining industry. And it then returns to a God fest. Whole bunch of praying and saved souls and blah blah. If it had stayed a horror flick, I would have liked it. Don't bother.
