Audience Member Tom Skeritt (Alien) is good and there’s some Ka references for Dark Tower fans. Other than that I don’t remember being too fond of this movie. "We must do what God tells us to do". Then it has a brief turn as a history lesson on the Chinese and the mining industry. And it then returns to a God fest. Whole bunch of praying and saved souls and blah blah. If it had stayed a horror flick, I would have liked it. Don't bother. Largely underrated film, written by Stephen King, starring Ron Perlman, Tom Skerritt and Steven Weber (the Shining). A simple story that starts with a couple being framed for drug possession by a road patrol in the Nevada desert soon turns into something much deadlier and disturbing.
