Audience Member Tom Skeritt (Alien) is good and there’s some Ka references for Dark Tower fans. Other than that I don’t remember being too fond of this movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/17/23 Full Review steve d A really effective adaptation with a great cast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review paul s One of if not the best Stephen King adaptation. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review ryan s 2.5/5. Desperation starts off incredibly strong with an awesome and terrifying performance from Ron Pearlman. Once he leaves the film, all that's left is a ton of religious dialogue being shoved down our throats. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review georgan g Stephen King has quite a creative mind, but this script had *everything* scary thrown in. Spiders, snakes, demons, you name it. Just not the quality I have come to expect from King (& he wrote the screenplay!). Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member it starts as an interesting horror flick. Then it turns into a revival meeting. "We must do what God tells us to do". Then it has a brief turn as a history lesson on the Chinese and the mining industry. And it then returns to a God fest. Whole bunch of praying and saved souls and blah blah. If it had stayed a horror flick, I would have liked it. Don't bother. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
