Alex E A classic would definitely recommend. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/09/24 Full Review Muck Out P I saw this when I was 13. With the voice over It felt like it was in the same world as Stand By Me and I loved it. Sure, the final view of the werewolf is a little hockey but I thought the rest was great. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review B P Director Daniel Attias, working from a script by King himself, manages to capture the spirit of halcyon youth; those carefree days in a small town, playing pranks and lighting fireworks and staying out all night long without a worry in the world. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review Todd S Gary Busey in probably his best role. Entertaining, fun and great characters, total classic horror movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/31/23 Full Review KB B This wasn't the best I watched because of the high audience rating and that It was based on a Stephen King story but obviously this was geared for young adults. It had a few silly situations including the 9 yr old kid wheels around the streets on essentially a motorcycle and even though he's wheelchair bound he can climb down from the 2nd floor bedroom window to his wheelchair/motorcycle by himself. Finally Gary Busy is such a nut job and this was before his bad accident. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Richard A A great adaptation of a Stephen King Novella, great cast and direction with a fantastic score by Jay Chattaway. Gary Busey is the standout here as Uncle Red, what a performance. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Paul Attanasio Washington Post The spectacle of King churning them out, churning them out, churning them out is, unfortunately, so much more vivid than anything he writes. Jan 2, 2018 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times There are all sorts of sly satiric touches in the film. Rated: 3/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Rob Gonsalves Rob's Movie Vault This dreadful, borderline campy movie, about a werewolf on the prowl in a sedate town, is long on gore and short on logic. Rated: C- Aug 31, 2022 Full Review Eve Tushnet Patheos Silver Bullet ignored some obvious chances to go deeper... May 23, 2022 Full Review Alberto Abuín Espinof The relationship that the boy has with his uncle, who is brought to life by a funny Gary Busey, is one of the best things in the film, underlining the difference between the adult and adolescent world. [Full Review in Spanish] Apr 16, 2020 Full Review William Wolf Gannett News Service There just isn't any style or excitement in this rather tired film. Mar 31, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
