Audience Member Stephen is a masterful story teller. If you like good stories you need to watch this! Very entertaining without name calling, insults and I don't remember any cursing either. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A fine little movie. Tobolowsky is a fine storyteller, but the film has very low budget production values (for instance, never identifies the other people interviewed). But an enjoyable watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Master story teller-check out his podcast if you like this movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This cannot be judged as a film with respect to the typical aspects of cinematography, story, characters, etc. But for what it is, which is basically a very lengthy stand-up routine, it is indeed very enjoyable and deserves to be seen and recognized. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Stephen Tobolowsky tell stories from his life to his family, friends and you. CHECK IT OUT. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie spawned The Tobolowsky Files, my favorite podcast. I love Stephen Tobolowsky's stories, which is basically all this movie is, but the stories are much more poignant when he has more time to develop them in the podcast. Since I found the podcast first and the movie second, the movie had several stories that were repeats for me. The structure of the movie is a little odd, too: people come to Tobo's house for his birthday party, and his nameless friends sit around listening to him the entire night; they don't seem to serve much of a purpose or contribute many reactions to his stories. Still, I would recommend the movie and the podcast to most of my friends. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Mark Bourne Film.com Think of Stephen as a softer, rounder, more existentially content Spalding Gray, or the film as a My Dinner with Andre in a pullover sweater and sensible shoes. Nov 20, 2007 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...it does seem entirely likely that even those who've never heard of [Tobolowsky] will inevitably find themselves won over by the actor's warm, irresistibly inviting persona. Anderson Combustible Celluloid According to Brinkmann, Tobolowsky is the greatest storyteller he's ever heard, and after watching this film, that statement is hard to dispute. May 26, 2006 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures As possibly the most recognizable character actor of our generation, Stephen Tobolowsky has given us a gift for his birthday. It's a window into his bizarre, unglamorous life. Rated: 4/5 May 25, 2006 Full Review Read all reviews
