This is one of my favorite movies when I was around eight to ten and I still thought it watchable when I found it online last night. Scary/cool practical effects, girl in a bra, rare comic books solving problems, stepmom that eats people, violin violence...what more do you need?

12-year old boy discovers his prospective stepmom is really a monster in this weak horror comedy for kids. Was surprised the paper boy was killed in this one given the intended audience. Small role for Corey Feldman indicates his career started declining fairly quickly after The Lost Boys.

A twelve year-old with an overactive imagination believes his stepmother to-be is a monster and must convince those around him of her hidden secret. Corman production based on a story by acclaimed Director Fred Olen Ray. Interesting cast has many familiar faces, including Corey Feldman as the neighbour/babysitter's boyfriend.

Stepmonster is one of the first direct to video atrocities that I ever saw. I remember it was at Box Office Video and I thought "Alan Thicke and Corey Feldman in a movie, how did I bypass this?" Maybe I should have never watched this as it was bad.

An hilarious and fun Fright Night-like kids film with a fresh dab of Lost Boys. This film is clever, punny, and a total blast. I loved every minute of it.
