renee the story line the movie is somehow very disturbing and illogical. the acting is extremely poor. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review Karma I I think we know some of the movie is a bit off, but if you read the lines in between the scenes, it can be deep. I love this movie; I think both Arquette and Byrne worked well together, they were believable. It has a spot on my favorite movies list. ~ ///=^} ~ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Justin T The film's picture looks ‘interesting', there are fast cuts and many visual effects. It seems like a typical nineties style at its best. Everything looked good but it could be seen as a little cheesy now. The sound was pretty good, not quite as good as I was hoping for though. The use of surround was what disappointed me. Still it was a nice and dynamic mix and certainly didn't affect the enjoyment of the film. It was a very modern film but the problem with that is that they date quickly. Still it is a funky and stylish movie with a charismatic person as the main character. It is similar to The Exorcist (1973) but more of a thriller and less of a horror. There are some good bits but nothing that is really scary. It's more the story and the characters that make it entertaining. Enjoyable movie that is a time capsule of the nineties and the mindset of people living into the new millennium. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Angela E The premise is all screwed up. Whoever wrote it should have looked up the definition of stigmata more. Holy and devout people get stigmata. The priest falling for her was a little bit beyond the pale also. I like Gabriel Byrne. I'm surprised he would want to be in such a stinker of a movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/11/23 Full Review The Great John A As it stands it's a good refreshing take on a horror movie plot and is good for the nostalgia factor. However this film has clearly not aged well with it's questionable clunky dialogue and laughable jumpscares. This seems like a film that you would happen to book tickets for with your mates as it was the only one that actually had seats unlike the pimps and Adidas/Nike tracksuit wannabes watching David Fincher's Fight Club. Overall very vapid, forgettable and dated but at least it seems like the actors enjoyed the final product. There's no harm in trying but can't stick with buying. Grade: D Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/23/23 Full Review Tyler T Very intersecting take on a horror possession movie. 7/10 would recommend Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
