steve d Bacon is a great actor Lowe is not in his class. He can't carry the film and the story is completely unsatisfying and unscary. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I see you met Alice. A soldier that returned to America from the Middle East has terrible nightmares of deaths that he viewed. He discovers that after being in the US he can see visions of other people's deaths as well. He tries to help people from suffering some of the same effects and visions that plague him. "Hey good looking." Ernie Barbarash, director of Hard Wired, 6 Bullets, Assassination Games, Falcon Rising, Pound of Flesh, They Wait, and Cube Zero, delivers Stir of Echoes 2: The Homecoming. The storyline for this picture is lacking and not as creative as the original. The horror sequences are mediocre at best. The acting was also mediocre and the cast includes Rob Lowe, Marnie McPhail, Ben Lewis, and Shawn Roberts. "Let me guess...you see dead people..." I came across this on Netflix and was shocked I had never heard of this even being released; then I watched it, and I know why. This was very disappointing and a far cry from the previous picture in the series. I always enjoyed the original, which is why I gave this a shot, but this is a film that didn't need a sequel. I'd skip this. "Nothing is random...not for you." Grade: D Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie started off good and took a turn for the worst. The ending was just awful and that by itself ruined the hole movie Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member For a straight to DVD movie, this was surprisingly good. I would say it equals the level of the first one but in a different way. The story is obviously different, with some slight hints of the first one, with the son being a character, and the story is actually almost believable too. I did like the plot twist as well, with the ghost being connected to his time overseas but at the same time is not connected with it, and how what happened unravels into a story that I didn't see coming at all. But it was a really good twist, impressive even. Not bad Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Rob Lowe stars in the low budget horror film Stir of Echoes: The Homecoming. Unrelated to the original film, this spin-off follows a soldier returning from Iraq, who's suffering from PTSD, as he begins to have visions of a burn victim, forcing him into finding a way to appease the vengeful spirit. The film doesn't abide by any of the rules established in the first film, and sort of does its own thing. And this is a problem, as there's not much consistency. Also, the story and characters are wholly uninteresting. Lowe is boring as hell, and there's no reason to care about his character. Monotonous garbage, Stir of Echoes: The Homecoming goes for cheap scares and comes up short. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Lame, & far-fetching.
