Tina Kakadelis Beyond the Cinerama Dome From its appreciation for the action movies that came before to its message of found family, Stone Cold Fox is a revenge tale wrapped in a hug. Nov 18, 2025 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots On paper, it sounds like a gritty, emotional revenge tale with a feminist twist. In practice, it’s a mix of good intentions and bad editing. Nov 12, 2025 Full Review Phil Walsh Geek Vibes Nation These types of films have a distinct DNA. We get some action and a couple of fights, but there is a missing spark that usually cranks even the worst of these movies up to a watchable guilty pleasure. Rated: 5/10 Nov 10, 2025 Full Review Martin Carr CBR Whatever audiences take away from the film, there is no denying it delivers sheer entertainment. Darkly comic on occasion, seedier than Liv Tyler’s turn in Super, and more fun than anything this far down the cinematic food chain deserves to be. Rated: 7/10 Nov 10, 2025 Full Review Casey Chong Casey's Movie Mania Despite a trio of promising cast led by Kiernan Shipka, Krysten Ritter and Kiefer Sutherland, Sophie Tabet's '80s-set debut feature is mostly a letdown. Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 7, 2025 Full Review Karina Adelgaard Heaven of Horror STONE COLD FOX is a gorgeous throwback action-thriller. This is exactly the kind of movie I grew up watching, but now the lead characters are women. Don’t worry, there are men in this movie as well. More than there were women in most 1980s action movies. Lavish C I couldn't finish it. At first I thought "nah, the IMDb rating is so wrong, this isn't that bad". Mostly because of Kiernan, what an interesting face, it's a bit like a dark angry Hermione. The casting in general is quite good. But it's quite slow and weird. And then there's this Frankie woman and her delusional wannabe martial artist brother, it really looks like a teenager wrote this, and when this Frankie start pulling out some sort of Star Wars saber/nunchaku I just left. It's SO tonally WRONG. SO out of place. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/17/25 Full Review Andrei D A pretty stacked cast cannot make this any more than reheated tropes and dumb twists, with no space for anyone to do anything interesting Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/16/25 Full Review William R. Very 80s feel to it. A decent watch, wishing for a better plot though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/15/25 Full Review Cavanşir G Instant '80s vibe—neon, synth, roller rinks—loved the era feel and female-led action. Fox (Kiernan Shipka) escaping abusive commune to save her sister from queenpin Goldie is simple but has spark, especially funny scenes with Frankie & Dylan riffing on action tropes. Thought-provoking on girls lost to bad circles by no choice. Entertaining once, but nothing new. 6/10—solid watch, no rewatch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/12/25 Full Review Philippe F This felt like a unique film from a different age. Full of twists and turns and beautifully shot scenes. Punchy and to the point - i really enjoyed it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/12/25 Full Review Yolanda R The movie promised a lot in its trailer, but in the end, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. From the start, I felt that the plot was unstable, as if the writers didn’t know where they wanted to take the story. The characters, instead of being endearing or interesting, appeared empty and underdeveloped, which made me emotionally disconnect. The twists and supposed surprises in the plot lacked coherence and, instead of keeping me intrigued, only managed to confuse me. The direction, while attempting to add an artistic touch, couldn’t compensate for the lack of a solid narrative. In summary, I expected much more from this film, which ended up being a mix of poorly executed ideas and a sense of emptiness that lingered long after the credits began to roll. A missed opportunity that could have been so much more. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/08/25 Full Review Read all reviews
