Martin B Poor Dan Duryea. The one time he's not playing the bad guy he's a sick substitute father and unloved husband that dies a pathetic mess in the snow. A lot of it seemed contrived impossiblilties for the sole purpose of advancing the plot. Cornell Wilde surviving the gun shot only to die conveniently in a hospital bed was hard to take. Seeing Lee Grant in and earlier role was cool and she pulled the glitzy supporting roll off very nicely. Didn't like Dennis Weaver's character but maybe that show he play it well. A little too much of the plot dependent on the kid. Good scenery albeit black and white. Can't say it was that good but it was entertaining.
