Michael Rechtshaffen The Hollywood Reporter Pollock compellingly points a finger at the institutionalized racism that has permeated a disturbing number of the country's police forces. Audience Member Stranger Fruit came out in 2017 about the shooting of Mike Brown, but it's amazing to watch now during the current civil unrest. To see that NOTHING has changed and that institutional racism is and will continue to be a problem as long as our federal and state government continues to protect the CRIMINALS in blue is deeply saddening. Anybody that gave this film a negative review, is completely ignorant and possibly prejudice themselves. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Well-done documentary Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/18/20 Full Review Audience Member Terrible how this young man was treated ,killed by a white policeman and then it was all played down and the white officer was never convicted of any crimes, terrible how prejudice is so out there in our country ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Just wasn't very good. I didn't see any mention of fruit in it at all. It wasn't really even strange. Weird flex. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought documentaries gave both sides of the story to let the viewer decide what the truth is. This one is only gives the story from the view of people who hate the police and don't care if they tell the truth or a lie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is based in fiction. The actual tape proves the person he was. The tape was also irrelevant as Michael was shot because he went after the police office not because of a drug deal gone wrong. Pollack's desperate need to prove the police were wrong should have been used on a case where the police were wrong... the office should not have been fired and Brown was wrong. An 18 yr old (not the 14 yr old picture they use to skew public opinion) adult made poor choices and this film perpetuates lies and continues to divide us. Shameful documentary just like Making a Murderer.... show all facts and you will see why grand juries go the way they go. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
