There is some small enjoyment, besides that found in wasting a few minutes with television history, in the silly, pulpy quality of the proceedings. Go to Full Review

Brittaney G Apr 20 Reviews calling it a good movie and wes did great writing CLEARLY havent taking the time to read the book. The best parts of the movie are the dialog taken straight from the book itself. The creative liberties make this movie less then what it could have been and SHOULD have been. Rachel never had a horse, it makes no sense for the story for her to have one, beside that minor detail it seems as though Wes and the entire writing team got so focused on dialog from the book they COMPLETELY glossed over the character descriptions. Rachel was supposed to have curly red hair and freckles, Linda Blair while fine acting did not fit the role described. And Julia!!! Oh my god!! She was supposed to be mysterious looking with deep eyes and long Raven hair. Whatever this mess was cast for Julia was not it. Its was to glaring to look past being thats a huge part of her character. Definitely could have and SHOULD have been made better. You know the feeling someone dies, and they come to stay either in a Haunted house then things start to happen etc See more matthew d 10/28/2023 This one was an enjoyable classic witch tale w original writing. Pretty teenagerish but not bad. See more damian l 01/01/2022 It was one of Wes Craven's minor good ones and one of Linda Blair's good roles See more 08/11/2021 Pretty solid for a 70s TV horror film. It's fairly vanilla, but that's to be expected with its limitations, but even with its restraints it's a fun and fairly intense story. Linda Blair is great as the terrorized youth.
