M. P The 1998 film "Stray Bullet" is a cinematic disaster in many respects. It's a glaring example of the absolute worst mediocrity that the film industry can offer. The screenplay is so abysmal that it reaches levels of stupidity that defy all logic. It's hard to believe that someone could have written such a narrative trainwreck. The characters, especially the cops, are as thick as wooden planks. Their actions and decisions seem to be straight out of a low-quality parody. The villains, on the other hand, exhibit such a low level of intelligence that they seem to come from an alternate universe where common sense doesn't exist. As for the hero, John Burnside, he's so disconnected from reality that one wonders how he can even survive in this world. The film is also guilty of one of cinema's cardinal sins: lack of coherence. The moving lamps, without explanation or valid justification, are an example of how this film seems to have been pieced together without any thought or care. In the end, "Balle perdue" is a true masterpiece of absurdity and bad taste. You really have to see it to appreciate how ridiculously and poorly it's constructed. It's a genuine treasure trove of mediocrity that could serve as a lesson to anyone attempting to make a film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/03/23 Full Review Sachouille You have to see it to believe it! The acting is non-existent, the lighting is absent (truly), the direction is cliché to the extreme. The plot barely fits on a postage stamp, but the film manages to be confusing. But despite all its flaws, you MUST watch this movie! It's a masterpiece of mediocrity !
