Eli K Can't put under List tag. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review Audience Member Cracking joints and heads Sonny Chiba is a one man wrecking mission A grind House classic and of course you need to see all 3 just like Clarence in Tony Scotts True Romance Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/17/22 Full Review Audience Member The greatest sports movie before the original Nintendo game Street Fighter 2010. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member My third favorite movie of all time behind Casablanca and 12 Monkeys. I became a lifelong Sonny Chiba fan after watching this movie. Yeah, Enter The Dragon is the best martial arts film ever, but The Street Fighter is the most fun. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member I went back and watched this after Sonny China's sad COVID death. The fighting is insanely good for a movie of its day. Chiba is gritty and talented. He has good screen presence. The story is solid with two story lines: one about collecting a debt for a prison break and a second about protecting an heiress. This movie is visually good. The dubbing is horrible or I might have given it an additional star. This one always lands on lists of the best martial arts' films of all time so I suggest it is worth seeing. Some good looks at Japanese karate and traditional karate training. There is some brutal and chauvinistic scenes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a gloriously excessive and hilarious martial arts film that is very much a product of it's time which isn't a bad thing at all in this instance. ‘Street fighter' has just the right amount of silliness and stockpile of formulaic cliches to make it entertaining.
