Paula Citron Globe and Mail Clearly, this movie is meant to be dance over story. As such, leave your brains at the door and enjoy the pretty people dancing. Rated: 2/4 Oct 1, 2010 Full Review Leslie Felperin Variety Deeply unoriginal yet utterly entrancing. Jul 6, 2010 Full Review Charlotte O'Sullivan London Evening Standard Streetdance (which, as the title subtly suggests, is shot in 3D) is being hyped as the first British dance movie. In other words, it's going where a gazillion American movies have gone before. Rated: 3/5 May 21, 2010 Full Review Stuart McGurk NME (New Musical Express) This advert for UK street dance may be a montage daisy-chain, but it's still fun. Rated: 3/5 May 19, 2021 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk Yet even if the plot is clichéd, much of the acting shaky and most of the 3D effects cheesy, the film has a zippy vibrancy that makes it hard to dislike. Nov 30, 2020 Full Review Francesca Rudkin New Zealand Herald 3D fatigue may mean the dancing doesn't look quite as striking as it did first time around, but if you're going to this film for its impressive moves you won't be disappointed. matthew b Why was this in 3D? I remembered watching this in cinemas when it came out 10 years ago, and am still asking that question. It's a time capsule of the 3D obsession, where every movie at the time wanted to make you flinch. Anywhere, 'StreetDance 3D' may have the moves, but it's story and characters leave a lot to be desire. It's incredibly predicable where you see everything that's going to happen within the first couple minutes. However, the amount of talent on screen made the whole thing watchable. It's an interesting mix of both street dance and ballet that brought a raw energy to it. Also, I'm surprised to see Charlotte Rampling in this. It's crazy to think that someone approached her with a script with 'StreetDance 3D', and her response was probably like "yEs!". But man when end credits rolled and the song 'We Dance On' by N-Dubz played, all nostalgia came crashing back in. I use listen to it a lot while growing up and I completely forgotten about it until now. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member One long dance video. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Another Step Up, this time with BBC backing. Pretty people and cool dance scenes. Expect no more. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Great! Great! Great! movie, loved the ending. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the better dancing movies out there. Standard dance story, but there IS a story. The dancing is some of the best I have seen too. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Cute British dance flick. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
