Audience Member A fun movie that pays homage to such body horror classics as 'The Thing' and the 'The Fly' Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I was actually pretty surprised by this. It's a fun creature feature throwback. Even the effects surpassed what I was expecting. The lead girl starts off pretty awful, but becomes bearable as the movie goes on. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/14/19 Full Review Audience Member a perfectly well crafted B movie horror, with tounge firmly in cheek... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/17/19 Full Review william s Reminds one of the bad B movie horrors of the late 70s early/mid 80s only done worse. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Massiivinen ötökkäinvaasio. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Incredibly underrated and surprisingly high quality. Dialogue leaves much to be desired but effects both digital and practical where fun to watch. Definitely not Oscer worthy but defenetly worth a watch with friends. Dennis Harvey Variety There's plenty of gooey insectivorous f/x, yet despite game contributions from all involved, nothing else in "Stung" goes quite far enough. Jul 15, 2015 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com "Stung" is the worst kind of neo-exploitation film: the kind that encourages you to root for a good guy who is essentially a man-child until crisis mode kicks in, and he abruptly becomes Badass Grownupmin. Rated: 1/4 Jul 3, 2015 Full Review Martin Tsai Los Angeles Times Unfortunately, the human relationships depicted here are less credible than the solid special effects. Jul 2, 2015 Full Review Joey Keogh Wicked Horror This is an, at times, terrifying film that, refreshingly, does not rely on cheap jump scares. Rated: 6.5/10 Sep 26, 2019 Full Review Trace Thurman Bloody Disgusting Takes itself far too seriously for a movie about giant killer wasps. Rated: 1.5/5 Oct 31, 2018 Full Review Heather Wixson Daily Dead Part old-school critter camp, part new-school mentality, Stung features some incredible special effects, tons of wickedly fun kills, as well as a strong script from Adam Aresty that does an excellent job balancing out the humor and horror.
