Ed . I hear that plans for a sequel, Manhole, fell through. This film made little sense to me, but as it progressed, I caught on to the humor and began to enjoy the oddness. Michel Galabru, the police inspector, is especially strong in his role. It was a pleasant surprise to see him again, immediately recalling his role as ultra conservative party leader in La Cage aux Folles. I think it's a romance thriller. It is beautiful, with lots of classic Luc Besson composition but in a slightly grittier world. It's set nearly 100% in the underground world of a French Subway station - both the commuter side and the underworld "homeless" side. Our main character might be "Le Roller"… a petty criminal who rollerskates from police capture regularly.
