Audience Member Hey Sugar Boxx, your budget is showing - I wanted to like this more than I did, but it's just a little too bargain basement to let me fully commit to it, even as a tribute to the grindhouse aesthetic. Rental? At best? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Trashy but sorta fun throwback to 1970's women in prison films. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Trashy but sorta fun throwback to 1970's women in prison films. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was over acted and poorly written. Had to see what would happen at the end! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member horrible horrible horrible Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Where Black Dynamite gave us a homage to blaxploitation flix Sugar Boxx more or less does the same for the WIP..just not as successfully. There's some real 'gems' in this genre from the 70s/early 80s & this pretty well gives them their just desserts. Not as sleazy as those from the past it's still in very poor taste & pretty trashy but it's tongue firmly planted in its cheek. More fun if you're a fan or are in the right frame of mind for some modern day Grindhouse. I actually like this more then Hobo w/ a Shotgun because it didn't seem to be trying so hard.
