The plot is confusing, the pacing is all over the place, and half the characters feel like they were just thrown in because they looked cool in the trailer. The editing is especially painful — it feels like the film was cut together by someone who only watched music videos. The characters had potential, but most of them get almost no development. We’re supposed to care about this team of villains, but the movie barely gives us a reason to. Some performances are decent, but they can’t save the weak script. And the tone? It jumps between dark, goofy, and chaotic without ever committing to anything. The constant pop songs blasting in the background feel forced, like the movie is desperately trying to convince you it’s fun. Overall, Suicide Squad had an interesting premise but completely wasted it. 3/10 for me. half a star just because See more Rich L. @turnerfan77 3d It’s been a few years since I had seen the first Suicide Squad. This movie isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It still was an entertaining watch. Is it great? No. Is it a horrible film? No. This did have a good cast and yes I know people hate Jared Leto’s portrayal of the Joker but I liked what we got of him in this movie and was hoping for more. The action sequences were fun. The thing that holds this movie back is the story. Once you get past the great casting and exciting action sequences it falls apart for me with the story. I was hoping for something more than what we got with the Enchantress. I didn’t enjoy the choice for the main villain of the film. That just didn’t work for me. I would have rather seen them fighting parademons or something better than something mystical. Overall I still had a good time giving this a rewatch.
