Deborah Ross The Spectator his is an intense, intimate, spare film about love, grief and dementia, and the two leads, who play a gay couple, are superb. Jul 29, 2021 Full Review Mark Kermode Observer (UK) The film has plenty of low-key charm and humour, not least in Sam and Tusker's believable, tetchy in-car interactions. Rated: 3/5 Jun 28, 2021 Full Review Clarisse Loughrey Independent (UK) Firth and Tucci's performances are remarkable in how delicately they navigate this maze of half-truths and suppressed emotions, all crammed inside their rusty campervan. Rated: 3/5 Jun 25, 2021 Full Review Calum Cooper Flick Feast There is such an honesty to its craft that the emotion of each moment, be it of joy, excitement, or, more often, crippling denial, bargaining or grief, hits you like a train. Rated: 4/5 Jul 14, 2024 Full Review Kevin Woodley InSession Film For all of its punches to the gut, this is an incredibly tender story of love and loss, where two men unravel at different speeds, in opposite directions, in the shadow of the same dying light. Rated: B+ Apr 3, 2024 Full Review Fatima Sheriff Vague Visages Supernova is a film that many will cherish if audiences can be absorbed by the overt metaphors and can look beyond the Rich White Male vantage point. jakob obvious. long pregnant pauses. sat through seance impatiently. pyscho babble. dementia is a serious subject but supernova trivialises it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/21 Full Review Daniel F It is always a joy to see two consummate actors work beautifully together their chemistry was wonderful and honest. I would have enjoyed less scenic shots of the countryside and more interaction between Tucci and Firth grappling with this debilitating disease. It is a true love story. So much was said non-verbally with their eyes, a touch of the hand and a smile. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/28/21 Full Review Sarah Loved the unhurried pace, fantastic acting, great locations scenery. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/21 Full Review Robert Slater Boring, slow, characters did not get me involved. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/07/21 Full Review Garrett Beautiful story, music and cinematography. Terrific acting. Very timely story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/06/21 Full Review Janet Unbelievable performances! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/21 Full Review Read all reviews
