To an extent and for a while, the film gets by primarily on the strength of its tepid and uneven humor. However, when it's forced to draw on comic book tropes, it loses steam.

In the times of dementia ridden POTUS, this movie clearly shows why old superheroes lost the plot completely and can only think about themselves… Not very funny in places, some laughter is rare. Should have been better

I don't know why this wasn't received well. It was well made and well cast, with known actors outside of their typical roles. It wasn't brilliant but worth the watch. If you liked Bubba-hotep (which was a brilliant movie), you will probably enjoy Supervized.
