Synopsis
Mardar (Jia Hongsheng) is a Shanghai courier who often makes deliveries for criminals. Over time, Mardar befriends Moudan (Zhou Xun), the lovely teenage daughter of a smuggler that he regularly transports around the city. When circumstances lead to tragedy, Mardar ends up in prison. After being released from jail, Mardar tries to start his life over but becomes intrigued when he runs into Meimei (also Zhou Xun), a beautiful dancer who looks strikingly like Moudan.
