KEVIN C Confession: I'm not a fan of the Trailer Park Boys. Never watched the tv show. This movie has the boys playing themselves trying to pitch a show idea only to be turned down due to their vulgarities. They decide to create their own network on the internet and film all their antics all wrapped around a car race they're participating in. This was amusing at times, but mostly just them being crass for the sake of being crass. Some amusing and seemingly appropriate cameos from CarrotTop, Tom Green and Sebastian Bach. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/19/22 Full Review Audience Member funny movie, deserves more ratings Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member I am a TPB fan and loved this movie. I find it funny that some reviewers stated that Carrot Top and Tom Greene were "better/funnier", I couldn't stand them in this movie. In fact their presence in the movie is the only thing I disliked about it. JP, Mike Smith, Rob Wells, and Pat Roach were hilarious! Yes I would love to see another season of TPB but this was great too! If you don't like profanity, drug use on film and nudity this is not the film for you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Well this movie was deff. not perfect but it had its own charm. I can see why many would trash on it if they are not used to this type of comedy. I think what made me enjoy it most was knowing it was from the guys who made TPB(Trailer Park Boys) with that said, I enjoyed my time watching it. The most memorable scene for me was when Lee(the bartender) takes acid with the guys and you see him pretending to be the lead singer of "Cheap Trick" and performing "Your on top of the world" on a moving van. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought it was hilarious I had so much fun watching it There were so many unexpected funny moments and that was good enough also for what it was it definitely delivered in my opinion Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Would be difficult to make a movie worse than this. Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter This is a Canadian film even Rob Ford would be embarrassed to watch. Sep 12, 2014 Full Review Neil Genzlinger New York Times Apparently the Trailer Park Boys have been funny in the past, but you'd never know it from "Swearnet," an incoherent, desperate-feeling effort to branch out. Sep 11, 2014 Full Review Aaron Hillis Village Voice Canadian comedy hits rock bottom in this abhorrent meta-infomercial for a Funny or Die-like network boasting uncensored online content ... Sep 9, 2014 Full Review Ethan Alter Film Journal International It's pure shock-jock sensationalism, with the creative forces behind the movie throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks. That explains why the finished product is such a stinker. Sep 12, 2014 Full Review Brian Gibson Vue Weekly (Edmonton, Alberta) As the story devolves into disagreements, histrionics, and bloody punch-ups, the writing gets lazier and stupider--'You took a load in the face for me?' Ah, but what a load of unfunny, True North s**t we have to eyeball until this movie runs out of steam. Sep 5, 2014 Full Review Katherine Monk Canada.com There's dumb. There's dumber. There's dumbest. But Swearnet: The Movie left me dumbfounded. Rated: 1/5 Sep 4, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews
