Synopsis
When Sweety Barrett (Brendan Gleeson) gets fired from the circus, it's tough news to swallow, even for a man who made his living stuffing outsize objects down his throat. Not sure what to do with his life, Sweety moves to a coastal town, where he begins working for local liquor runner Flick Hennessy (Tony Rohr). Sweety's outlook brightens considerably when he encounters lovely Anne King (Lynda Steadman) -- at least, until her violent husband, Leo (Andy Serkis), gets released from prison.
