leightön m Ignore my rating. Wrong synapse movie and I can't delete my rating. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Sci-fier with ruling corporation being fought by band of resistance. Derivative plot is held back by low production values and lack of filmmaking skill to deliver anything above the ordinary. One of the last sightings of Chris Makepeace. Easily forgotten. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Tought this would be brainless si-fi fun. Turned out it was simply brainless. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm surprised I missed this one. It must have escaped me for some reason! Now that I've come cross it I'm glad I did. The background to this sci-fi action piece is a dark and corrupt future where the rich live in decadence, the poor organise themselves into a resistance movement, and a group of shadowy individuals loiter in between, selling arms to one to fight the other, and thus profiting through the existence of both. The premise is that one of these shadowy arms-sellers is tracked and followed to the home of his lover. The woman is shot and killed, whilst he is taken away for memory erasure and some other suggested-at purpose. However, the man wakes up later only to find himself reanimated into his lover's body as part of an experiment. I really enjoyed this film; the whole premise is great, but a difficult one to act (how would you act, being inside the body of your dead ex?) but the leads pull it off consumately. More good acting is found in the less high-profile roles, including the lead's prison co-inmate; and notably that of the sadistic officer in his patrol vehicle, equipped with its psycho-surgical appliances. There are one or two twists and turns in the story along the way - though I dare say the storyline could have been tighter in places - so in all the whole film was a well-acted action-packed sci-fi ride.
