Donald Clarke Irish Times There are women in the film, but none has anything you could call a personality. Rated: 2/5 Jul 2, 2018 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) A sweet central premise and a charismatic cast curdle into repetitious overkill and "gay panic" gags. Rated: 2/5 Jun 29, 2018 Full Review Adam White Daily Telegraph (UK) It's all a bit more sad than what you'd expect from a film with an extended set piece discussing the horrors of punches to the butt. It's a feeling that is unfortunately replicated in the film's cast. Rated: 2/5 Jun 29, 2018 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Despite some funny antics along the way, the viewer feels like an outsider looking in at people who are clearly having more fun than we are watching them. Rated: 2/4 Mar 11, 2022 Full Review Cory Woodroof 615 Film Tag's a movie that doesn't want to grow up. Matt E Just fun stupidity. Good for a laugh Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/25 Full Review Jeffrey C Ok, it's buddy film; a feel good film. Well sort of. A lot of the stunts would be, "Don't try this at home" and are probably stunt men. I think they used the Sherlock Holmes movie slow mo fight effect too many times. It's fine if you don't want to think all that much. Based loosely on a 2013 Wall Street Journal story of a bunch more guys that did a similar thing. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/25 Full Review Horror fan 4 What a fun and enjoyable movie that takes me back to my childhood. I would absolutely love to see a sequel to this movie. Tim Treakle Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/25 Full Review mouth b Legit movie! I was hesitant because of the reviews, the name, and plot. I am glad I finally took a chance on it! How anyone could not give this a solid 5 star is beyond me! I laughed out loud on multiple occasions, and straight up loved this movie! I watched 2 times in 2 days, if that tells you anything! Comedy check, action check, good story check, feel good check! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/25 Full Review SkyRo P "Tag" is an incredibly creative and entertaining movie that embraces its goofy and silly nature. At its core, it offers a unique perspective on friendship, showcasing how a simple game of tag can keep bonds alive, even if the wives and girlfriends don't quite understand it. The guys have maintained this tradition as a fun way to strengthen their camaraderie over the years. While it may not be a top-tier comedy, "Tag" delivers plenty of laughs and lighthearted moments. It's refreshing to see Jeremy Renner step outside his usual roles, like Hawkeye, and take on a more playful character. Even though he plays the "stinker" of the group, his character contributes to the hilarious dynamics that unfold. The banter among the friends is a highlight, adding depth to their relationships throughout the film. Although some of the humor may not land perfectly, it’s enjoyable enough to leave you with a smile. Overall, I genuinely believe "Tag" is a fun film that captures the spirit of friendship in a light and entertaining way. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/25 Full Review Kates M My husband and I were laughing the entire time. Also, its just a fun movie. Makes you want to want to play like a child again.
