Audience Member Excellent, albeit straightforward French comedy. Depardieu was once a fabulous actor, prior to hitting his head and moving to Russia. Here he plays a moron of extreme physical strength and does a great job. Reno is also good in a familiar role of a hitman. Good stuff. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member it makes me laugh every time i watch it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Suprisingly a good comedy, entertaining and not dissapointing at all. The pure french humor. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member entretenida y simpática Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Tais-Toi (Shut Up) is overly simple - but that actually makes it very enjoyable - a barrel of laughs that you would expect from these two Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member French comedy about an unlikely friendship. By some trick of destiny two criminals, a smart and cold henchman Ruby and a dumb but soft petty thief Quentin end up in the same prison cell. After they run away the character played by Reno plans his revenge against his former employer, a notorious gangster, however he has to get rid of affectionate and dim Quentin (Depardieu) first. In the other hand Quentin doesn't want to split and follows his new friend Ruby in his endeavours to reach the gangster getting himself into a lot of funny fights and chases. It is the archetypical friendship movie, two different individuals paired by chance learning from each other in an unexpected way. The story is uplifting when we get to see that Ruby isn't that hard and Quentin isn't a total halfwit. So a feel good film with funny dialogues and humoristic scenes. Because the plot is somewhat predictable the movie heavily relies in the performance of the two main leads and they deliver without problems, we are talking about perhaps the most famous and solid actors of France. They are very believable and hilarious at the same time and that is difficult to achieve. It might not be an outstanding film but it is light, amusing and very entertaining.
