I had the advantage of seeing this film with Laird in person, providing commentary and answering questions before the screening. He came across as a really decent, humble guy, which was NOT what I anticipated. I thought the film gave insights into Laird's development as the amazing guy he is.

Great documentary. I remember first seeing LH in that movie North Shore way back in the day. Then every five years or so he'd pop up somewhere in the media. He's had an incredible life and it was good to see all the little details.

I feel like I'll sleep tonight with blue green water crashing over my head! A trip into a different life than most of us lead, making the common themes of love, friendship, and family all the more poignant. Our entire family of non-surfers were engrossed all the way through to the jaw-dropping final foil ride!
