Audience Member 'Take Off' was inspired by a true story about Korea bidding to host the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Some of ski jumping scenex are really thrilling to watch, the magic of flying.=) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Incredible way to shove that nationalism into your heart. Wish my country has one. It's about ski jumping, new kind of sport developed in Korea in 1997 for Winter Olympic. Hell of a story.. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member 'Cool Runnings' Korean style. more crying, more shouting, more slow motion. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I use to avoid and dislike the Sports genre because of its formulaic storyline but "Take Off" is a winner! No wonder why it is the top grossing film of 2009 in Korea! One of my ten favorites films already for 2010 (out of 76 movies).
