Georgia C @Georgi460 Jan 3 The writing is absolutely abysmal. It felt like someone bought the plot before actually reading the script because the plot would be pretty good with better writing. The lines were juvenile, cheesy and just plain basic. You could tell that the main female actress was trying so hard to make it work but it felt like no one else actually cared about making this movie. Wardrobe and makeup people—You have a supposed grieving mother who dresses in cute outfits and has her hair and makeup done perfectly each day? Seriously, no. The main male actor was the absolute worst actor I’ve ever seen! He had no connection with his supposed wife, he did not emote any emotion, not even inflection in his voice like when he thought his wife was cheating on him and he didn’t even shed a tear when his daughter was rescued ?! Bizarre. Towards the end it was really rushed too. Was this movie someone’s tax write off ? I’m seriously side eying the writer. Well, that’s what you have with taken in plain sight. The acting writing and directing our all equally abominable. Not sure if the actors in this movie ever considered taking acting lessons, but they are sorely needed across the board. The writing is horrendous and the directing is pedantic. Don’t waste your time on this movie. There’s plenty of other things on Netflix to watch. I am absolutely flummoxed as to how this movie ever made it to the Netflix platform. See more Laura E @lolaema Oct 29 So, so bad. I like a poorly acted Lifetime movie on occasion, but this one is worse than normal. This one keeps ending up on top ten watched movies so I had higher expectations. The bad acting, the horrible decision making of the lead (girl, if you follow someone into the middle of nowhere and park in the yard by their house behind a tree, in reality they’re gonna see you), and the ridiculous overacting of the kids- it’s just bad.
