kuki f A TV Movie like... but fresh and intriguing Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/07/18 Full Review Audience Member This was a guilty pleasure. Kelly Brook is a real stunner and shows she can act really well here. A really enjoyable date movie. I kept my expectations low going in to watch this, and to my surprise I really enjoyed it, as did my girlfriend. London locations look great too. Mark Kermode Observer (UK) Personally, I much preferred Murphy's short film, Sushi, the tasty appetiser to this altogether more bland main course. Rated: 2/5 Feb 7, 2016 Full Review Kevin Maher Times (UK) There are supporting players, a regular toe-curling voiceover, non-stop musical lifts from Pulp Fiction and some breathtakingly slack direction from Maeve Murphy. Rated: 1/5 Feb 4, 2016 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian It has a quirkiness that might have worked better on television. Rated: 2/5 Feb 4, 2016 Full Review Neil Smith Total Film [An] amateurish Brit-flick. Rated: 1/5 Oct 12, 2016 Full Review Stefan Pape HeyUGuys This does have heart, and while undoubtedly flawed, Taking Stock isn't trying to be anything its not. Rated: 2/5 Feb 17, 2016 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall It's rather corny, but has a nice sense of the characters and situations, and a playful approach to its story that refuses to take anything too seriously.
