Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed A marvelous compilation of pretty stellar science fiction short stories. I hope fellow genre fans look out for it. Jul 7, 2023 Full Review Calan Panchoo Film Threat While Tales of the Apocalypse is a competently made anthology that features a series of rich worlds, its lack of equally rich characterization proves a fatal shortcoming. Eloisa T The first couple stories were good and generally the quality was good for what I'm guessing was a low budget. The twists were kind of obvious and they used the same twist in more than one story. Would've been cool if they somehow tied it all together. I see what the ideas where but they weren't very well executed. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/01/24 Full Review Jon G The short stories started very strong. But quickly fell apart after the first two. The twists in the later stories (the ones that had them) were extremely obvious. And it wasn't until the end of the movie and I was able to count the stories was sure if stories two and three were two separate stories or one long story. Finally, the last story was down right awful. It's concept of what the 4th dimension was 1950s B-movie bad. Watch the first two... maybe the third story if you really want to but, do yourself a favor and stop there. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/27/24 Full Review Dan P Briefly: low-budget, lower quality. There are hints of a good idea or two here, but none is well developed. In fact, "Hints of Good Ideas" would not be a terrible name for it. I picture this discussion: "I'm doing a picture of short sci-fi stories set after an apocalypse. Do you have anything?" "Yeah, I've got a couple of ideas." "Great! I'll take them!" "But they're only ideas, they're not complete." "Doesn't matter! I'll take them!" Don't bother. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/13/24 Full Review Brian S The movie is outstanding. Anyone who is a true fan of sci-fi will love these "short stories" The stories are rich and pull you into each one right away. The visuals aren't too bad either. The went for the real feel of what simple function technology is like. ...and the best part. There is a twist at the end of each story. NO SPOILERS HERE! IT IS A MUST WATCH!!!!
