hanks to casting that is savvier than the horror norm, and to direction by John Harrison that is workmanlike and sometimes even witty, at least it's fun. Go to Full Review

It’s always a hit or a miss when a TV show becomes a movie, but in this case, I think it is a romp. It’s fun, the gore is good, but it’s not very scary. Go to Full Review

For horror fanatics, this one needs to be seen, especially in tandem with other ’80s efforts like it, but on the whole, it’s not one worth catching if you have better options. Go to Full Review

H 01/18/2024 Originally intended as a third entry sequel into the highly successful Creepshow franchise, the title was effectively changed to Tales From The Dark side when the original (Creepshow) film's titling rights were discovered to be somewhat less -cut than anticipated. Nevertheless, the ENTIRE crew from the first two films were basically all involved with the Tales From The Darkside television series so it was decided to be a legitimate spiritual sequel. Great shorts, wonderful actor cameos, and a solid lesson in there about keeping things a secret between yourself and a Gargoyle you assured you were discreet. Plus Debbie Harry (of Blondie fame) plays a no-nonsense suburban Witch in the main rap-around story that she positively embodies.
