During the Korean War, Sgt. Brad Dunne (Don Kelly) heads a tank battalion consisting of reluctant young recruit Pfc. Danny Collins (Bob Padget) and seasoned soldiers Corp. Corbett (Edward G. Robinson Jr.) and Pfc. Madigan (Frank Gorshin). When guerrillas launch a series of ambushes on a U.S. base camp, Dunne and his men are ordered to lead an offensive against the rebels. But, just as they approach the front lines, a grenade blast disables their tank, stranding them as the enemy approaches.
