…while it’s not quite the transformative experience of Waltzing With Brando, Tapawingo is still a sharp, funny comedy with lots to recommend it, with Heder in Napoleon Dynamite mode and a standout role for Gina Gershon… Go to Full Review

Tapawingo will speak to a generation that misses the oddball sincerity of the aughts and potentially win over some Napoleon Dynamite non-believers with its more fleshed-out narrative. Go to Full Review

Douglas W @Dwild 43m I loved Napoleon Dynamite but Tapawingo is unwatchable. I was psyched after seeing the 97% on RT. As a matter of fact, I will not reference RT again if there viewers are this dumb. Americans sink farther into the abyss every day. See more Jeff T @jturner70 10h My wife and I laughed the whole time. Great fun movie. The sound track was awesome! The guy selling the class rings was hilarious! Worth your time! See more Katie B Jan 13 Gina Gershon may have been the only highlight. Her 80’s hair and makeup got progressively worse. I can only hope she enjoyed herself while slathering on the most hideous eye shadow job of all time. At least someone was laughing while going bat shizz on Gina’s hair and makeup. She looked truly insane, poor thing. The wardrobe and set design were "thrift shop grody vintage."Cliff from Cheers showed up. He must have been destitute or bored. Maybe both. I’m sure he barely got paid. The movie made $2500. No joke. It premiered in ONE theater. The villain was Billy Zane. Sweet baby Jeebus. Sad. His high water slacks said it all, which worked out because I don’t think he had any lines. That may have been a stipulation of his contract. I felt secondhand embarrassment for everyone involved. It was like Napoleon Dynamite but dumber and less cool. Yes, you heard that right. Less cool. Wow. See more Joey C @GoHeels228 Jan 4 Fun, original comedy movie that’ll make you laugh! Sometimes you just want to enjoy some laughs and a good time and this movies delivers; great performances all around (Heder, Gershon, Zane), and I especially enjoyed the roles played by John Ratzenberger, Amanda Bearse, and Chad Dukes character was great in his debut role! See more Tim S @TimShep Dec 30 I was looking for a fun movie to watch and Tapawingo hit it out of the park! I’m a small town midwestern guy and it felt like this movie was made for me. I know people will compare this to Napoleon Dynamite but I don’t think it shares much except the lead actor (who does a fantastic job). The vibrant storytelling in this goes well beyond the typical 90 min comedy format. This longer form gives so much depth to the characters and has you rooting for even more from your favorites. (Mine were the twin brothers Glenn and Ben). I never write reviews but this was too good to not share my feelings. Pour a drink and give it a watch. See more Nina P @Nina2 Dec 29 Loved it!! Take me back to the days of Napoleon Dynamite entertainment!! Our family laughed at every aspect/angle on screen…even background happenings!😂😂 See more Read all reviews
