Audience Member So many Tarzan film adaptations to choose from - why would you chose this one, among them all? You shouldn’t, there’s no reason to watch this one. Hell, even the 80s one had a naked Bo Derek. Cheesy visual effects. For example, look no further then the close up shots of the tiger that Tarzan fights early on in the film’s runtime. And the photography isn’t all that great either - some of the footage of wildlife seems to have been plucked straight out of the dusty MGM stock footage vault. Denny Miller is Tarzan while Joanna Barnes is Jane. You’ve seen better actors and better interpretations of these characters. The cartoon characters in the Disney Animation give superior performances. It is however a pale imitation of that series with a disturbing reference to how animals were treated during the period this was filmed in.
