Geoff Andrew Time Out The viewer is soon left to drown in a wave of crassness while each animated participant grabs the nearest sex object and heads for the closest pile of leaves. Feb 9, 2006 Full Review Vincent Canby New York Times The animation is very nicely done but the wit ("You'd give Bufferin an upset stomach") is bland and exhausting. Audience Member Here's another underground, weird Adult cartoon from the 70's. It's a Tarzan spoof with an army of penises. Yeah, you heard right. But perhaps the best part of all, is the voice work, done predominately by cast members from the first season of SNL. That's right! You get John Belushi, Bill Murray and Christopher Guest! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review todd a Yet another film that tried to mimic the weird success of Fritz the Cat. The result being a completely unfunny and irritating "spectacle". Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Surreal and funny, Tarzoon could be disgusting to some people. Full of appellative sexual reference and gore, Picha's cinematographic adaptation of his character also present some unnecessary scenes, just go get a few cheap laughs. Anyway, the title personage become likable in his hilarious adventure, also replete of dark comedy, peace and dictatorial symbol and characters. Tarzoon, Shame of the Jungle could remember Ralph Bakshi's 1972 animated classic "Fritz The Cat". Picha's picture bring a chaming cast of comedians in the English dubbing and writting like: Christopher Guest, Brian Doyle-Murray, John Belushi and Bill Murray (dubbing), Michael O'Donoghue and Anne Beatts (writting). A sometimes boring, but passable adult-oriented animated film. Fresh. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Odd, `70s French/Belgian cartoon satire of colonialist cliches, with a layer of cheesy stoner/sex comedy in the English dub. Watch for the cameo by Tintin as an abusive, racist missionary. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of the weirdest but funniest cartoons ever!! Womans weekly said 5/5... Gay vickers weekly said what a blast 5 star the beano says "top bollocks" kids love it 5/5 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw this when I was approximately 14 years of age and I am sure I didn't understand half of it. Anyway, looking back, it's one hell of a weird cartoon!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
