Audience Member An intelligible movie with a great direction and top notch cinematography. Years before Euphoria a staring truthful dive into modern teenagehood and webcam shows and how every day life is impacted. A love story, a friendship ride along and family insights of two young girls who try to make their way out for a purposedly better future but at what cost. Pretty enjoyable. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Wrote a detailed review of this film, then had an error posting it. So instead of taking the time to rewrite it (the time that this film does not deserve), I'm going to simplify and say that this film was messy and incredibly rushed. Although a good soundtrack, this film was a waste of a good idea. :( Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm going to be completely honest here. I did not think it was that good. I must say that it was an exciting story, but some scenes and some roles were not well written. It looked fake. I know that that is literally what it is, but it could've still been better. The mother role is the first thing I noticed. Annie said "leave me alone" and the mother immediately proceeds to lecture her. Annie's "attitude" was mentioned in a later scene. What I find odd about this is that it does not represent what a mother is. From my understanding, a mother would not lecture her daughter after their daughter tells them to leave them alone. Some mother may be like that, but I do not believe that there are many mothers who are that concerned about her daughter language. The ending was a bit fast and all over the place, but not that bad. Overall, two and a half stars, because I still enjoyed it, even if there were little things that were not quite realistic. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a must see !!! I was just browsing around on Netflix and I randomly chose this! not reading the bio about it just winging it and I fell in love Diffidently a must see it's just how teenage girls think especially when it comes to money and trying to experience your sexuality as well as figuring out yourself if your in your 20s and even 18 I would recommend watching this ! I promise you won't be disappointed I would rewatch it again that's how good it is Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a good idea, just very poorly executed. The ending left you wanting more. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought this is gonna be about some badass girl hustlers. Turns out they might be gay. Okay then, i can workout with that. So maybe badass lesbian hustlers? But nooooo, they didnt give us that really. Though interesting, the characters have little redeeming features except for being teenage girls with a dream. That Annie girl though is first world problems at its finest, she has a loving family and she will throw all that away to prostitute herself with Jules just to feel alive? Damn. Though it is exciting, not gonna lie, but man was it stupid, so, so, so stupid. 3/5 cause i was entertained and thats what movies are for. Perri Nemiroff Collider Teenage Cocktail is a quality film that goes well beyond an entertaining high school romance and makes a lasting impression by highlighting the overwhelming power of blinding passion. Rated: 4/5 Mar 24, 2016 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh The look, the tone, and the performances are incredibly alluring and exciting, with just enough latent darkness to appeal to genre fans. Rated: 4/5 May 12, 2023 Full Review Heather Wixson Daily Dead It's a beautifully made and intoxicating experience that explores the dangerous scenarios that can arise when sex with strangers goes too far. Rated: 4/5 Dec 21, 2016 Full Review Matt Shiverdecker Austin American-Statesman Teenage Cocktail isn't a perfect film, but it's a great ride. Mar 15, 2016 Full Review Matt Donato We Got This Covered Teenage Cocktail is a sexy, dangerous, and delightfully devious warning about unchecked hormones and the crazy things we do for love. Rated: 7/10 Mar 14, 2016 Full Review Dan Caffrey Consequence John Carchietta nails the more subtle, painful aspects of teenhood. That's a harder thing to pull off than a grindhouse flick, which makes Teenage Cocktail an impressive, if slightly uneven, debut. Rated: B- Mar 12, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews
