Luke Buckmaster Guardian The film quickly morphs from a haze of cheap teen thrills into much more meaningful drama: a gutsy coming-of-age story that signals the arrival of a compelling new voice in queer Australian cinema. Rated: 4/5 Jun 12, 2016 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Performances are raw and resonant. The young actors bring a natural energy to their roles, including a terrific sense of physicality. Rated: 3/5 Jun 5, 2018 Full Review Erin Free FILMINK (Australia) This gay-themed Aussie coming of age drama goes straight to the top of the class. Rated: 18/20 Feb 5, 2017 Full Review Sarah Ward Screen International The right stylistic touches and a strong central performance render the familiar both affecting and lingering here. Jerod S Teenage kicks is a emotional banger of a movie. When a struggling teen loses his brother, his search for love and acceptance gets wild. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review Audience Member Competently directed and acted, but the screenplay is a trashy, vacuous and generic excuse to shot a series of cringeworthy sex scenes. Do yourself a favor and watch something else. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
