Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Debut director Abhishek Sharma's idea is original and audacious: full marks there. But the film isn't entirely the laugh riot that it sets out to be. Rated: 2/5 Apr 12, 2019 Full Review Rachel Saltz New York Times Satire may be the point of "Tere Bin Laden," but its low-key charm mostly comes from its dotty twist on the let's-put-on-a-show plot as Ali and his eccentric helpers make their videos. Audience Member It's good to see fresh face Ali Zafar, but beyond that the movie is bakar max Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Tere Bin Laden is the movie from which I learnt about Osama Bin Laden. It is by far my favourite sarcastic movie. I often recommend this film to anyone who asks me which is my favourite Bollywood comedy movie. The film knows how not to take itself seriously. And that's exactly what makes it so good. It really astonishes me how a completely slapstick movie like this manages to make such an accurate Osama Bin Laden lookalike, while the Bollywood biopics can't even get an actual actress to play Mary Kom. The story is so simplistic and hilarious, it's fun to just sit back and watch. Many parts of this movie are some of my favourite comedy scenes from any movie, especially Ali Zafar's boss forcing his employees to put their salary in his piggybank every time they make a mistake, and Sikandar exploding and turning into tandoori chicken. Seeing the happy ending this movie had, I believe anyone who wants to start watching Bollywood movies should start from it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Compared with recent laugh riots at box office, Tere Bin Laden has both: a smart script and some smart acting. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Watching the movie was a wonderful experience now I came to know that the teem is going to comme up with a squeal of the same. http://www.americanbazaaronline.com/2013/12/01/zero-dark-thirty-made-india-comical-twist/ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member average, but worth seeing.
