Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post A depressing reflection of a pervasive and thoroughly modern malaise. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 15, 2013 Full Review Phil Brown Globe and Mail Not just a documentary about Internet privacy, but a non-fiction horror flick for anyone who blindly agrees to user licensing agreements online (a.k.a. everyone). Rated: 3/4 Aug 9, 2013 Full Review Drew Hunt Chicago Reader The film presents some worthwhile information, but in a painfully uncreative manner. Jul 18, 2013 Full Review Kip Mooney College Movie Review A wake-up call. Rated: A- Sep 17, 2021 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine By now, many people are aware that data mining is a growth industry, and that all kinds of companies tap online activity to track and target consumer-buying habits. But Terms and Conditions addresses a more sinister trend... Audience Member A bit slow and dense to get through, but holds a very important message. The best part was the last scene. And they were proven more than right just a few years later. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I found this quite interesting although it is primarily relevant for the U.S. Only downsize is it doesn't really propose any solutions. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Terms and conditions may apply, is a well made thought out documentary about the logistics of accepting terms. It is presented in a well digestible way, which doesnt cover too much at a time. But is presented in a good narrative, by a sound pleasing voice. Cullen hoback covers some really complicated topics, but succeeds in adding a little humanity to it. in a good way. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review michael w One of a few good documentaries I've seen about a topic that seems harmless and inevitable, when in reality it is still in our control...but extremely dangerous and forever out of our control in the wrong hands. You'll walk away asking important questions and I strongly recommend you watch this one, and others like it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A chilling reflection on the realities of the surveillance and lack of privacy inherent in the digital lives we live. "But I have nothing to hide," until something happens to you and the media descends and suddenly your entire digital history is up for grabs... Because it's out there. Companies may promise privacy but, what do the T's and C's really say? Is there any real limit to the government's right to access our information? Is the endless expansion of the military and law enforcement really such a good idea? Do we really want the government to be able to break encryption on demand? It's probably ironic to be writing this on Facebook Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member super interesting and mind opening this one of those movies that everyone needs to see cause everyone clicks "I Agree" when they dont read the terms and conditions of something Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
