Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting This nonstop barrage of scares and super creepy set pieces is the equivalent of venturing into a haunted house attraction. It doesn't offer much in the way of a fully fleshed out plot with concrete answers, but it doesn't need to. Rated: 4/5 Dec 17, 2018 Full Review David Day Horror Movie Talk Terrified is remarkably effective at what it sets out to do – scare. It utilizes some great camera work, sound design, acting, and visual effects to produce a real terror of a film. Rated: 9/10 Aug 11, 2025 Full Review Kimberley Elizabeth Nightmare on Film Street With spooks worthy of the James Waniverse, horror fans will surely eat up some truly terrifying and original sequences that elevate Terrified beyond standard jumpscare fare. Rated: 8/10 Apr 9, 2019 Full Review Andrew Wyatt The Lens Writer-director Demián Rugna isn't that concerned about little matters like lucidity or pacing, preferring to lean into those components that are grotesque, unfathomable, and morbidly amusing. Rated: C+ Dec 7, 2018 Full Review Walter Chaw Film Freak Central Clearly a student and fan of horror, Rugna's images are primal. Rated: 3.5/4 Oct 17, 2018 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...just another tedious ghost-based horror movie that dwells far too long on the less-than-engrossing exploits of its human characters. He gets a video camera to film the events and sees a tall, naked figure emerging beneath the bed, standing over him as he sleeps. Across the road, Alicia is grieving the death of her young son, who has recently been hit by a bus outside Walter's house. Paranormal investigator and former coroner Jano, arrives at the behest of Alicia's ex-boyfriend. Police commissioner Funes, who reveals that thee corpse of the dead boy is currently sitting at the kitchen table, having apparently returned from thee cemetery, leaving a trail ov muddy footprints behind it. They all stay overnight in one ov thee four affected houses and chaos ensues. They discover a place where light and dark meet. A place that we can't usually see. I thought this was great. Definitely thee best Argentinean horror I've encountered. Some top quality creepy moments. Enjoy. 🤙😎 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/28/25 Full Review Mr. S I think this movie is great for its budget and for the time that it was created and released, it gets the attention of the viewers with its tense scene's, I also like the fact that it wasn't all about being fictional and leans on the side of real paranormal activities. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/08/25 Full Review Audience Member This movie is terrifying. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/31/25 Full Review Sergio A It has moments that genuinely manage to scare you and works well as an exercise in horror, but at times it feels like it stays just that: an exercise, without delving into the characters, the villains, or the story Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/25/25 Full Review Diet Dr. Paul . Look—a CLUE! If you were lucky enough to catch Terrified before When Evil Lurks, then you already knew what kind of nightmare Demián Rugna was capable of crafting. This film is a relentless blend of supernatural dread and expertly timed jump scares—with one of the most jarring scene cuts in horror history. It’s raw, unflinching, and disturbingly dark, but somehow still poignant and wildly entertaining. A masterclass in controlled chaos. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/03/25 Full Review Mark B No coherent plot all atmosphere and jump scares. Not really a movie so much as interlaced creepy scenes. It is not good.
