Audience Member Is it offensive? Or was it a rare opportunity for little people to star in their own film? Do we judge on merit, or do we judge by today's values? The film itself is a low-budget 1930's creation that has some good bits. A curiosity. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a 1938 western... with an all-midget cast (!). The musical scenes, musical score, slapstick scenes, uneven acting and high-pitched voices of the actors give this movie an entertaining, cartoonish feel. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Although not very socially correct the movie is wildly entertaining for those who appreciate a so-bad-it's-good movie. Of course the 3 and 1/2 stars rating only make sense regarding this spectrum of movies. Cinema wise it would have been a 1/2 star, but for sheer fun the 3 and 1/2 is more than deserved. Watched in a Public Domain Film session and the whole room was laughing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Extremely strange premise, not quite sure what the thinking was in the office in the studio when this one was thought up but I'd have loved to have been in it. The use of little people to play each role is different, although the acting is not always high and the story pretty dull. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Fuck it, I don't care if I'm being politically-incorrect, this film is hilarious. It's basically a western with midgets, but it has numerous entertaining what-the-fuck moments like musical numbers, a penguin that appears randomly, midgets that ride on ponies, chase scenes, and numerous other things. It's by no means a masterpiece, but it has a charming quality to it because of the novelty premise and I was consistently entertained by its weirdness and camp value. I had a blast with it and I think it's underrated. It might be deemed offensive nowadays, but dammit, it's too funny for me to hate. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Best worst movie ever! It's short. There's small musical numbers. It's a little bit a comedy. Fences present a short obstacle to the cast. They really step up to the bar. There's a little gun fight... Amazing... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
