Audience Member Classic movie, watched many times when I was a kid Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member the acting in this movie is good but it leaves a lot out as well and only shows Terry's temper more than anything. It has beautiful shots of Canada though (especially Vancouver) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member TV movie based on Canadian Icon Terry Fox is a good take on what he set out to do, which was run across Canada to raise money for Cancer research during his Marathon of Hope. This is a good little film that could have been much better due to the fact that Terry Fox is such a unique individual. Although not a perfect film, this TV movie does capture the courage of Fox to raise money. The cast do a good job in their roles, but this is your typical made for TV film, don't expect anything great here, and considering what Terry Fox did, a more in depth film would have been much better as well. This is nonetheless a worthy viewing for those interested in his story, and for what it is, it's a good film that is quite entertaining in portraying an important part of Canadian history. Eric Fryer does a good job in the lead role and gives the film some genuine emotion to the story. The problem with this film is that is constrained by its short run time and low budget. However the filmmakers and cast are able to make something worth seeing if you want to know more about Terry Fox. For a drama, it's engaging from start to finish, but the definitive film on Fox's life has yet to be made. This is a film that manages to go beyond its limitations to make something worth seeing. Start here if you want to know a bit on Fox's life, but also take into account that this is a very dramatic film, one that like any other film adds a bit of creativity to make it more appealing to viewers. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Earnest Canadian made telemovie, telling the story of a young man remembered as a national hero in his home country.
